Gov. Almakura Swears in Special Adviser on Security

His Excellency Umaru Tanko Almakura has expressed the need to be proactive towards ensuring that Nasarawa State remains peaceful and accommodative to all the citizens of the state .

Gov. Almakura made this known as he swore in Brigadier General Mohammed ibn Umar Adeka (rtd) in the presence of the State Security Council as the Special Adviser on Security. He explained that the appointment may seem surprising to some as the state was at a time of peace , but the Governor made it known that the appointment was enable issues to be nipped at the bud before they get the chance snowball into big security matters.

Governor Almakura stated that General Adeka would add the value to the harmony currently being enjoyed in the state , as he would bring his vast military experience which enabled him rise to the rank of General to the security sector of the state.

He described General Adeka as a patriotic hard working indigene ,that adheres to best practices , stating that having successfully served the country and he was now available to serve the state , he expressed confidence that General Adeka would be a valuable addition to the administration.

Speaking following the searing in the new Special Adviser on Brigadier General Mohammed Ibn Umar Adeka (rtd) thanked the Governor for finding him worthy of the appointment, he promised to discharge his duties to the best of his abilities for the good of the Nasarawa State .

Brigadier General Mohammed Ibn Umar Adeka (rtd) hails from Nasarawa LGA ,has a Ph.D. and has been experienced in security matters.
