Gov. Almakura Meets with Osana of Keana, Gives Assurance of Speedy Development to Keana Roads

His Excellency Umaru Tanko Almakura has assured the people of Keana of the government’s resolve to support Keana LGA and ensure speedy completion of road projects

He made this known as he received HRH Alh. Abdullahi Amegwa Agbo III, the Osana of Keana who came with very wide delegation that included major Keana Stakeholders, Office holders, Traditional title Holders and prominent residents at the Government House Lafia.

Gov. Almakura congratulated the 34th Osana who was selected Aug 18, 2016 on his becoming the Head of one of the oldest peoples , who come from a very historical city. Describing the people of Keana as very lucky to get the someone who has become the solutions to all the problems in Keana. He described the tussle for the seat as one of the hardest due the large number (37persons) that sort for the stool, stating that he saw the Keana people as being very traditional and tasked other communities to emulate the overwhelming support and cooperation they give their traditional institution.

The Governor asked the Keana Emirate to discuss with the Commissioner of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs about when the coronation could take place and the Staff of Office presented.

He made it known that Keana needed easy access roads before the townshp roads stating that government was already on it as they would remake the Obi - Kean road , and the Keana- Giza road that would involve a very steady bridge was would require a lot of resources which the state government had already provided and work would resume .

Lastly , he praised the late Osana Sen. Emmanuel Onyatikpo Elayo of blessed memory for his efforts towards ensuring peace within the area and tasking the new monarch to continue to follow in his footsteps and keep achieving results which would keep peace within his domain.

Speaking Earlier, HRH Alh. Abdullahi Amegwa Agbo III, the Osana of Keana thanked the Governor, the Executive Council, the state Council of Chiefs and the good people of the state for the support , love, and solidarity accorded to him and the people of Keana.

The Osana expressed the continuous support of the people of Keana to the government for its laudable achievements and development programs which were seen in all wards , villages reminding him of the needed to work on the Keana township roads and the Kadarko –Giza-Keana road. He also brought up the issue of the Government Girls Secondary school which he wanted government to give attention.

Lastly , he called on the Government and the Federal Government to look into solving the herdsman – farmers clashes through re-establishment of grazing lands and routes.
