The Northern Governors Forum has taken steps to revitalize the Northern Nigerian Development Company Limited, NNDC with a view to making it a viable structure for the rapid development of northern Nigeria.

 

To this end, a Committee chaired by the Jigawa State Governor, Badaru Abubakar held an inaugural meeting with the Governors of Niger state, Sani Lolo and that of Nasarawa state, Abdullahi A. Sule in attendance at the Burna Conference Hall of Hotel Seven in Unguwar Rimi, Kaduna.

 

Speaking shortly after the meeting, Jigawa state Governor, Badaru Abubakar stated that the main has formed a sub committee to be chaired by Doctor Shamsuddeen with a view to finding out new business Strategies that can be ventured into by the NNDC.

 

The Jigawa State Governor added that other areas to be looked into by the Doctor Shamsuddeen chaired committee are the structure and management of the NNDC and also advise the main Committee appropriately.

 

Membership of the sub Committee according to Governor Badaru Abubakar includes the Secretaries to the Government of Jigawa, Niger and Nasarawa as well as four members of the main Committee.

 

Meantime, Governor Abdullahi A. Sule of Nasarawa State completed his business exploration visit to Kaduna with a visit to the Nasarawa State Liaison Office/Governor's Lodge located at Sultan street off Lamido road Kaduna.

 

At the site of the project, Governor Abdullahi Sule said the the edifice will be completed and made viable in order to serve as a source of revenue generation for the state.
