Nasarawa 2018 Appropriation Bill Passes First Reading

The Rt, Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi has made it known that the Nasarawa 2018 Appropriation Bill which was presented by His Excellency Umaru Tanko Almakura to the Nasarawa State House of Assembly has passed the First Reading and would be brought forth for the Second Reading on the 6th of December.

Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi disclosed this while speaking during plenary after the 2018 Appropriation Bill was read on the floor of the House by the Nasarawa State Governor today.

The Speaker described it as a first in the history of Nasarawa State that the Budget Proposals are submitted this early, he praised the move and stated that this would allow the separation of powers to enable the House study the Bill and treat it early enough for the good of the people.

He lauded the transparency, accountability and commitment of the Executive, calling on the Members of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly to partner with the State Governor to continue to provide good governance to the people.

He also commended the Members for carrying out their constitutional responsibilities with a sense of dedication and care for the people of the state.

Lastly, the Speaker assured that Nasarawa 2018 Appropriation Bill would be given speedy attention.

The Governor presented the total budget estimate of N122,820,943,240.00 tagged ‘Budget of Sustainable Development’ to the House.
