His Excellency, Umaru Tanko Almakura has commended the management of the Ak-Ay Elektrick for their dedication to work and wanting to keep to the timeline for completion of the Akruba 330KVA substation which would greatly benefit Nasarawa State in the area of power supply.
Gov. Almakura made this known as he received the MD/CEO of Turkey based Ak-Ay Elektrick Engr. Mursel Gulsen who were the contractors of the project who had come into the country recently and were in the state to see how the project was going.
The Governor also use the opportunity to congratulate the people of Nasarawa State on the progress of the project which started since 2014 but did not get any head way till 2015 when the Government of Muhammadu Buhari gave the project the needed attention and approval for the start of the project.
He assured the contractors of the support of the Nasarawa State Government and the cooperation of all the citizens and communities towards the actualization of the long awaited project.
Speaking earlier, the Director Admin who was the Head of Delegation Dr. Mohammed Bawa Gummi made it known that the building plans submitted for approval in December 2016 had been approved, also making it known that the soil test had been completed and approved, explaining that the project was ready to move forward with a view toward meeting up with the completion period already set for the project stating that they were currently at 30% but would progress now with the recent approvals received .
He said the courtesy call was in fulfillment of their promise to have the MD visit next time he was in the country , stating that within the next two months all the needed items would be fabricated and on ground , also stating that that they were ready to fund the project out of their own pocket to ensure its completion and put to use on schedule.
